Transplant Keepsakes

I received a blast email containing an article about a gentleman in need of a kidney. Once I saw his blood type, I knew this was something I could and would do. Donate a kidney. My medical testing started at the end of April 2012 and our surgery was Nov. 9, 2012. This has been and will continue to be an amazing journey.

This is a picture of me with Mr. Bob, my recipient, a week after the transplant !!! Bob looks amazing and is feeling great. As of today, there are no signs of kidney rejection or any virus, things are perfect. Now we can all enter the next phase of our journey together by living life to its fullest and enjoying everyday that God gives us. It's amazing how quickly total strangers become family.
